I made my Paleo Chocolate Smoothie this morning…
…instead of cocoa powder, I used raw carob powder, and I used raw honey in place of the dates. I also reduced the amount of liquid to make it thicker and eliminated the almond extract to avoid any allergy complications. The avocado makes it so rich and creamy!
I had a craving for a healthy, fruit-based treat, so I made my own kind of ‘raw’ applesauce…
…I just grated a Pink Lady apple and added some cinnamon, lemon juice, raisins, and about a teaspoon of raw honey. It hit the spot!
I had some leftover broccoli soup from a previous night, so I warmed it up for lunch…
…I have yet to post this recipe, but it really is delicious. I make a ‘cream’ base from cauliflower and puree everything to make it nice and smooth.
I enjoyed a bowl of grapes before dinner. It’s the last batch of the season, and while it makes me a bit sad, I’m happy to welcome all of the lovely apples and pears that signify autumn!
I made a vegetable ‘chow mein’ using cabbage shreds as noodles….
I added in some carrots, celery, mushrooms, and water chestnuts along with some soy sauce and rice vinegar. It was really delicious! I wasn’t sure about the lack of rice or quinoa, but I really enjoyed this.
My fun-sized Snickers’ recipe is finally complete, so I’ve been enjoying them immensely…
I’ll have this recipe up soon for those of you that might be interested. 🙂
