Growing up, my mom often scoffed at fiction books saying she’d rather read something true. While I see the logic there, I have a total weakness for whodunnit-type mysteries.
Previously a lover of Dean Koontz, I have been hard-pressed to find someone that interested me as much. Recently, however, I came across Australian writer Liane Moriarty and have been enjoying her immensely!
She definitely caters more towards the female perspective, but if anyone needs a good read, check her out!
Even though I’m home many days without the option of going to the gym, that hasn’t stopped me from getting a work out in at the house!
I absolutely love circuits, as they are quick, require ZERO equipment (generally speaking), and boost your metabolism because of their fast pace.
I’ve timed a couple, and they literally only require 20-30 minutes of my time, leaving me no excuse not to do them.
This is one of my favorites, if you’d like to try it yourself:
If you’re unsure as to how to perform any of the exercises, just search it on YouTube.
I adapted this from somewhere, but I don’t have the original source, sorry!
3. Pecan Butter
Though I have trouble with nuts, I can occasionally tolerate certain ones in small amounts.
I recently used this recipe to make some delicious pecan butter! I love that the consistency of this turns out so creamy, as some nut butters end up quite dry and ‘unspreadable’. I just added in a pinch of sea salt, and I have been using it to make sugar-free carob candies…
The butter adds just the right amount of sweetness!
4. Old Navy
I’m sure you’re all familiar with the lower cost Gap affiliate, but I have to mention it here for kids’ clothes!
I can never seem to find adult clothes that fit right, but Old Navy is awesome for all of our progeny. Their online site has constant sales and clearance items, and they consistently offer great discounts on the entire order.
For my most recent purchases, I was able to get 17 super cute items for my girls and son, including shirts, pants, and dresses, all for around $100, which was great for going back to school.
5. Jamberry Nails
I recently tried a new-to-me product that my daughters loved! Jamberry nail wraps are a non-toxic and vegan way to change up your nail look, as they have over 400 different designs!
I really liked these for my daughters, as they last longer than regular nail polish, and they are non-damaging to your natural nail.
I put these on for her first week at kindergarten, and she felt so pretty (the black is just polish)!
They are more time-consuming to apply, but the lasting nature can be worth it, especially if you have little girls. 🙂
