    10 Healthy Game-Day Snacks

Published: Feb 5, 2016 by Lauren · This post may contain affiliate links · 2 Comments

So, there's a meeting of the bellies this weekend...at least, that's what I know it to be!

Bring on the food, who cares about the big guys in tight pants, lol.

Though I'm not what you'd call a sports fanatic in any sense, I can appreciate an event that makes peeps want to bust a move in the kitchy, so here are a few healthier options for those of you looking. 🙂

    1. Eggplant Pizzas

These are a great option to please a diverse group of diets, as you can just leave off the cheese if you have vegan guests (and eggplant is cheap). Use my Homemade Pizza Sauce to really take them over the top!

    2. No-Pasta Mac and Cheese Cupcakes

    cup55

Made with spaghetti squash, veggies, and cheese, these healthy bites are a cute way to entice others to get their daily nine in.

    3. Frozen Cinnamon Date Treats

These are an easy, healthy, delicious, and oh-so-cute option to throw together the day before the big day. Just stash them in the freezer, but try NOT to eat all of them beforehand.

    4. Tostadas

I've always thought (if ever I had a Super Bowl party) that a tostada bar would be fun! Bake up some corn tortillas until they're crispy and set up a buffet line, if you will. Lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, beans, rice, cheese, salsa, guacamole, etc. A bit more work, but yum yum!

    5. Healthier Guacamole

    Sinless Guacamole (Vegan, Paleo) 3

Speaking of guacamole, this little gem of a recipe significantly cuts the fat and calories of the original dip by adding in a sneaky green veggie.

    6. Low Carb Cauliflower Breadsticks

Probably too much work for a large crowd, but this is something I would make if it were just me and a buddy (aka, my hubby). Cheesy, gooey goodness without the guilt!

    7. Sweet and Spicy Cashews

I can't have cashews, but my husband LOVES these! He insisted I add them to the list, so here they are!

    8. Frozen Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Frozen Peanut Butter Cup Cookies (Vegan, No-Bake) 2

No-bake, peanut butter, chocolate, AND each cookie is only around 100 calories...what's not to love here?

    9. Meatloaf Sliders

If you have some avid meat eaters over, these are a great handheld bite! Kids are also a fan, and the sweet and tangy topping is easy to make, sans nasty ketchup.

    10. Smoky Black Bean Hummus

You just can't have a snack round-up without a hummus recipe, and this one is a favorite around here!

Will you be watching the Super Bowl this Sunday?
