Hello, and happy (almost) 2025!!
I wanted to share some of the favorites from readers over the last year.
I'll share the top five readers' favorites, then I'll share my personal top five.
Let's begin with reader favorite number five!
This one wasn't surprising, as it has generally been my top performing post over the years. It's a favorite with us as well!
4-Ingredient Spelt Flour Tortillas
Number four on the list are these delicious tortillas! I love this recipe, so I'm happy you all do too! These make great cheese crisps and enchiladas.
How To Make Ground Turkey Taste Like Sausage
I created this recipe primarily to use on pizza, as I used to love sausage on my pizza as a kid. Turkey makes a great substitute if you're avoiding pork.
Homemade Apple Pie Filling (NO Sugar!)
Number two is my Sugar-Free Apple Pie Filling! I created this during a time when I was having trouble with both sugar and grains, so I would put this over yogurt and enjoy it as a treat.
And now, the number one recipe for the year is....
Simply Cabbage and Eggs
I came up with this little dish out of necessity during a very allergic period, and it's become a blog favorite! It's very easy, quick, and economical.
Now, for my personal top five, that you may have forgot about or just not tried yet!
Number five...
Healthy Creamy Chicken Soup
This creamy chicken soup is so warm and comforting, it's perfect for chilly days! It's also very filling, as the 'creamy' aspect of the soup is made with blended potatoes.
Numero quatro...
Chocolate Ricotta Pudding
While I know ricotta isn't a pantry staple for most, this recipe is worth the purchase! It's made with ricotta, gelatin, and just the right amount of sugar, and when topped with whipped cream and fresh berries, it makes an elegant dessert.
Three...
The BEST Homemade Burger Sauce
This stuff is the jam. Our whole family loves this recipe, and it's delicious atop burgers, burger bowls, or as a dipping sauce for homemade fries!
Number TWO...
Sour Cream Blueberry Muffins
This is our go-to blueberry muffin recipe. It's quick, easy, and so delicious! If you'd prefer a gluten-free muffin, try these Soaked Oatmeal Blueberry Muffins.
And, the number one recipe of 2024 (for our family) is...
Spelt Flour Banana Bread
I've needed to perfect a banana bread recipe for years, and this is it! This recipe relies heavily on the banana for sweetness, but a touch of maple syrup is added for complementary flavor. It's made with whole grain spelt flour, and I personally can't imagine a better (healthy) banana bread.
Well, that does it for this year's yummy-ness! I hope you all have a happy new year and are ready for some low sugar goodness come January!
