My daughter Natalie loves eggnog.

She’s often requested it throughout the year when it’s not seasonal, so I created this easy recipe that she can make on her own!

No need for tempering or cooking the egg. Just add the ingredients to a blender and blend as you would a smoothie.

Recipe notes on raw egg

I understand some have hesitations on eating a raw egg (and I did too!). What I’ve personally read has stated that the problem is with bacteria on the egg shell, not the contents of the egg.

When I initially began eating eggs raw, as in Caesar salad dressing, I would boil a pot of water, set the egg in for exactly one minute, then remove it and use as directed.

Currently, I’m much more comfortable with it, as I’ve been doing it for a while. Instead of boiling the egg, I wash it under hot water for about 10 seconds, rubbing it a bit with my fingers. I then proceed with cracking it and using it.

Always crack the egg on a clean surface.

Here is a bit more information on consuming raw eggs.
