It’s been awhile, so for those of you that don’t know, Friday Finds is just a compilation of random things that I’m currently enjoying.
1. Coconut Oil Face Refresher
I’m not sure where I first read about this, but it works a charm!
What is it, you ask…well, all you do is add about 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to your palm, along with the same amount of baking soda.
Mix together with both hands and gently rub your entire face with the mixture for about 30 – 60 seconds.
You can then do a mini steam by placing a warm towel over your face, but I usually just rub it off with a warm washcloth.
Follow it up with a good moisturizer, like this one, and your face will be lookin’ good! I personally do this a few times a week.
2. Black Rice
I love black rice! It is touted to be much more nutrient-dense than its brown counterpart, boasting more vitamin E and antioxidants. It also has a higher protein count than other rice.
I recently bought a few different brands, and really enjoyed this brand best.
3. Kayley Melissa
I’m rather inept when it comes to doing hair, my own or my daughters’.
I stumbled across this woman recently and am really enjoying learning a thing or two!
In particular, check out her 7 Days of Ponytails.
4. Muffin Advice
Doing some random ‘research’ on how to create the best muffins recently led me to this post.
Let me say, I’ve been making the above recipe for a couple of years now, but after following Nagi’s advice, my muffins came out better than they ever have!
I couldn’t believe how fluffy and delicious they were. They literally tasted what you would buy from a bakery!
5. Eye Allergies
Oh, the blessed Spring allergies have arrived, and a couple of us over here are really feeling it!
My daughter, in particular, struggles with itchy, watery eyes.
I recently picked up these eye drops, and they’ve been a real help to her. They stop the itching quickly, and they give her a couple hours relief.
What new find have you discovered lately?
