Bold, but true, this drink has seriously altered my world.

    Life-Changing Green Drink--Video

Growing up, I never had notable trouble with allergies. I'm sure, like everyone, dust would make me sneeze, and milk might have given me an upset stomach every now and then, but about ten years ago, everything changed.

I can still remember driving home from a trip to Whole Foods and noticing that my hands were suddenly itching uncontrollably. Shortly thereafter, the itching turned to full-blown eczema with the added bonuses of acne and depression, among other more minor ailments.

I had no idea what was happening! It seemed every time I ate, I would become red and itchy, sometimes incurring what looked like large mosquito bites on various parts of my body, including my face.

I also became acutely aware of smells during this period, as they would cause strong headaches, fatigue, and emotional imbalances. I could barely step foot into certain stores because they reeked of laundry detergent, and if I went into a movie theater where someone was wearing strong perfume or cologne, I had to leave.

I even had to quit a job I really enjoyed because they switched locations, and the new building housed a horror of chemicals, including new paint, new carpet, and neighboring fumes from a dry cleaning company.

After rounds of incompetent doctors and tests galore, I eventually came to discover that I had both Lyme disease and mercury toxicity.

While neither diagnosis was smile-inducing, it was nice to have an answer to what the hell was going on.

My naturopath and I decided to first attack the mercury with rounds of intravenous DMPS, a sulfonic acid salt shown to lower heavy metals.

While this route was helpful, it was also causing some pretty major side effects, and we ultimately determined that I was actually allergic to the substance.

Ha! What a joke that was. I can't even get the crap out of my body that's causing my allergies because I'm too allergic!

I recently renewed my health research and came across a few articles on the benefits of cilantro and heavy metal detox, so I figured adding it into my diet wouldn't hurt.

Normally, I would say I walk around in a semi-itchy, foggy-minded, forgetful kind of daze on a daily basis. Some days are better than others, but generally speaking, I have about a 1/10 chance of having a 'good' day.

Since I've started drinking this, however, I've been doing so much better!

I've been much more clear-minded, my allergies (in particular, my itching) have improved, and my workouts are insane! I've been running on the treadmill since Sam was born to lean out a bit, and by drinking this about 30 minutes before I go to the gym, I have so much more energy and stamina.

It has also been aiding my hair growth/health, and my husband and I have both noticed my eyebrows are coming in thicker.

Please enjoy the following quick video to show you how I make it!

Use organic ingredients, if possible, especially the apple.

Feel free to use whatever proportions you want here in regards to the greens. I will occasionally have a cilantro-heavy drink for purposes of detox.

Realistically, this drink may help me for a while and gradually lose its effect or not help on certain days, but I wanted to share it with all of you, as it is an easy and economical way to boost your health and possibly remove some unwanted toxins from your body. I hope if you give it a try, you feel as great as I do with it!

What healthy habit helps you feel good each day?

This sounds like you have an overgrowth of candida. The systemic kind. It does not have to mean vaginal. Check out The Yeast Connection book by William Crook, MD. Changed my life!

I thought so too, and I've actually tested for candida multiple times, but it didn't show up!

      Hi Lauren,
Thanks for putting on a great website. I really look forward to your new posts and following your journey. Your food always looks yummy and inspiring. I can't believe how much you can consume for such a tiny thing. Lol You must be in the kitchen all day cooking:)
You mentioned a few days ago that you went to your Naturpath. I also live in Tucson and am looking for a good Naturpath to go to as I have had chronic migraines since the age of 10. If you have a good one that you'd like can you drop me an email. It would be much appreciated... In your spare time of course Lol
      Many Thanks
      Monique

Lauren, Thank you for this recipe. I have terrible food allergies and very sensitive skin. I also break out in rashes for seemingly no reason and have trouble breathing after eating sometimes. I can't wait to try this and see if my issues improve at all. Have a good weekend!
