    I love a good milkshake!

    shake11

Even better than that, I love a healthy milkshake that I can make myself, and, with strawberries coming back into season, what better time than now for this.

    shake22

I truly believe that the proportions of ingredients are extremely important when it comes to smoothies.

Too many times I've tried to 'wing it' and throw a bunch of stuff into a blender, only to have it come out tasting less than sub-par. This is not one of those recipes.

This is meant to be a dessert drink rather than a smoothie, but feel free to use more stevia and less maple syrup, if desired.

Or, if you're looking to indulge, try some full-fat coconut milk!

Rich, creamy, and packed full of vitamin C from the strawberries, this makes a delicious and healthy indulgence!

Just made this. Easy and delicious, my two favorite things! 🙂 (FYI, 10 oz is exactly 1 1/4 cups, not 1 1/2 -- I had to add milk because I did a rounded 1 1/2 cups of strawberries.) Also, love Anna's idea above about doing a "Magic Shell" type thing!

This is making me crave a strawberry milkshake now! I have seen that video previously too. Blending the coconut twice always puts me off making it these days but I think it still tastes nice just blending it once. I have a great recipe for a creamy coconut milk like the one out of a can that I need to get on my blog too. Thanks for reminding me.

Oh, you definitely should! Since reading more about the chemicals in cans, I'm going to start making my own, so I would love to see a good recipe for it! 🙂

I just had one of these last night after seeing a similar recipe on Peas and Thank You! It was so good - I actually melted a few dark chocolate chips and a bit of coconut oil together and poured it over the top like Magic Shell - amazing!
