Smoothies with chard are still on the morning menu…
…it seems I always forget to take a new picture in the morning, so the above is an old shot, but very reminiscent of what I’ve been doing. Rice milk, 1/4 of an avocado, frozen mango, frozen cherries, raw honey, vanilla, stevia, and two large handfuls of rainbow chard. This mix is my current favorite and really energizes me for the day!
I had an early afternoon cup of my Cheesy Broccoli Soup. There was just a wee bit left, so I polished it off in anticipation of running some errands before lunch time.
I’m in a constant state of testing salad dressings, though I rarely get around to posting them.
This pretty one was packed full of fresh basil and cucumbers (which give it creaminess). It was delicious over a bed of lettuce greens, grated carrot, red bell pepper, red onion, red cabbage, cucumber slices, currants, and roasted pistachios.
A couple of My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies made their way into my belly before the gym. They provided a nice little dose of energy for an early evening workout.
Dinner was a tried and true favorite…
…leftover spaghetti squash mixed with leftover Marinara/Pizza Sauce. I sautéed some yellow onion and mushrooms to get an extra dose of veggies and then topped it all with yogurt and parmesan cheeses.
Healthy cake pops…
…these babies might look good, but they need some serious work. I felt like I wasted my tummy space on a crappy treat! Booooo….
I’ve been drinking a lot of Ginger Tea lately, and I really feel like it’s been aiding my digestion. I like to sip a cup each night before bed.
