Once again relying on an old picture (sorry!), I've been consuming my favorite Chocolate Berry Smoothie Bowl almost every day, especially before a workout, as the added cacao really fuels my energy...
A constant creature of habit, I always top this with cacao nibs and goji berries. Each night I get excited to make this in the morning! My main notable change is to use raw honey and stevia to sweeten it...no dates.
I snacked on more chocolate (actually a carob-chocolate combo) for snack...
This picture is post-photo shoot, hence the disheveled appearance, but these black bean-based 'cupcakes' were a house hit! The cakes themselves are very low in sugar, and they are topped with a sugar-free vanilla peanut butter frosting, making them a naturally high-in-protein snack.

After the morning chocolate overload, a large salad was in order...
On this day, I took a little time to roast up a combination of broccoli, butternut squash, and red onion. I mixed the veggies with some olive oil, salt, pepper, and some fresh rosemary and thyme.
Once roasted, I let the veggies cool while I rinsed some arugula and spinach, and I topped the entire salad with a sugar-free, oil-free creamy zucchini-based dressing. So yummy!
Though unpictured, my afternoon usually consists of fruit in the form of apples!
For dinner, we made my Creamy Red Lentil Dal...
We had it with some homemade spelt naan, which I'll hopefully be sharing on Friday.
Given the morning's treats, I skipped dessert this night in favor of some iced peppermint tea. 🙂
