The BEST 10-Minute Broccoli

This delicious and easy broccoli recipe is made in about ten minutes, including prep time! It is my go-to when I need a quick vegetable side dish and kids love it!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 (healthy) Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • pinch red pepper flakes
  • sea salt as desired
  • grated parmesan optional, as desired
  • 2 (heaping) cups chopped broccoli florets

Instructions

  • Add the water, oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes to a large pan (my pan measures about ten inches in diameter and 2-3 inches deep. See photos below.
  • Bring the mix to a boil and add in the broccoli.
  • Lower the heat to a simmer and cover the pan with a fitted lid.
  • Allow the broccoli to cook/steam for three minutes.
  • Turn the heat off and remove the pan from the burner, keeping the lid on.
  • Let the broccoli sit for another two minutes.
  • Remove the lid and give the broccoli a stir. Water should be evaporated at this point.
  • Season to taste and serve immediately.
