Ingredients

  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 6 kale leaves torn into bite-sized pieces, de-stemmed
  • 1/4 c. nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 t. maple syrup
  • 1/8 t. sea salt
  • a few grinds of black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  • Mix the oil, yeast, maple syrup, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  • Add the kale pieces and lightly massage the yeast mixture into the leaves.
  • Place the leaves onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and spread them out as best as you can (it's okay if some are touching).
  • Bake the chips for 30 minutes (mix them around a bit after 15 minutes to help bake them all evenly). They should be crispy after 30 minutes.
  • Cool a bit and serve!
