Easy Oat-Free Hot Breakfast Cereal
Creamy, hot cereal made without oats! Top this with dried fruit, nuts, sweetener, and/or your choice of milk for a delicious breakfast.

Ingredients
2 ½

. water
(use half milk, if desired)
½
c
. rice or grain blend
dash of sea salt
toppings
, as desired (see ideas below recipe)
Instructions
Process the 1/2 cup of grain in a coffee grinder until powdery.
Bring two cups of water and a dash of sea salt to a low simmer.
Stir in the grain.
Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until the mix thickens.
Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of water.
Cover the cereal and cook on low for 8-10 minutes, stirring 1-2 times during that time.
Remove lid, stir, and serve!
