If you've never tried frozen dates before, you're in for a treat! Peanut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon takes them over the top for these quick and easy snacks!
Though this recipe may be a total no-brainer for some of you, I felt it was worth sharing (and even making a video for)!
If you've never tried freezing a date, let me just tell you, it's absolutely delicious!
It takes on the quality of a caramel candy, in that the texture becomes firmer, but not solid, and by filling it with your favorite nut or seed butter and topping it with a sprinkle of cinnamon, the flavor is over the top scrumptious.
I would even dare to say that filling these with peanut butter gives these a makeshift Snickers taste.
Ingredients and substitutions
- Soft medjool dates - You want to use the large Medjool dates, as they have the best taste and size.
- Peanut butter - Any nut or seed butter you like will work.
- Cinnamon - Omit if you like.
Recipe steps
Pry each date open with your fingers and remove the seed.
Add about one teaspoon of peanut butter to the center, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Freeze for 30-60 minutes and enjoy!
Please enjoy the video below showing you just how to make this easy treat!
Recipe notes
This is my favorite peanut butter. Buy it at Walmart though, as Amazon prices are too high!

LOVE it Lauren!
My wife is crazy about cinnamon (and paleo)!
The problem with most diet is they leave you hungry.. And you will never lose weight and keep it off on any diet that leaves you hungry all the time.
One of the unique features of Paleo is that it reduces hunger dramatically.
I don't want to list all the gimmicks and diets I've tried and that have failed in the end because I couldn't resist to snack like a starving shark.
Eating Paleo tamed my 'inner shark'. 8 weeks pure paleo (following PaleoLeap's step-by-step guide with meal plan - for your ref.: http:// timreviews.com/paleo-recipe)
Lauren, what was your best experience with Paleo?
Regards
Tim

How can I possibly thank you enough for posting this recipe??? I just made these this morning and popped the first one in my mouth about 5 minutes ago....OMG!!!!! I had never heard of such a combination and it was soooo good! Now I can give these to my boys (and myself) and feel like we're indulging in a box of candy, but without any guilt! The sprinkling of cinnamon on top is the perfect touch - thank you for this Lauren!!!! ๐
