It seems every recipe I click on lately contains almonds in one form or another....is it just me?
I enjoy almonds, but because I don't tolerate them very well, I shy away from using them in recipes too much.

I am allergic to almonds but have found that grinding up raw sunflower seeds in an old coffee grinder can make for an excellent substitute. And if almond flavor is desired, use an artificial almond flavoring that contains no actual almonds. I once read a recommendation to use ground hazelnuts but did not find they worked as well as the ground sunflower seeds.
As you know, this all gets challenging when a daughter has celiac, my wife has gluten intolerance, and I have food allergies 🙂

Thanks so much. I wanted to make vegan gluten free banana muffins today and was searching through Google for your banana recipes. All I was getting is almonds or ready mix flour!
I am sure you have a banana muffin/square or something. If it has eggs, I could easily use flax. But somehow I couldn't find anything and I was in s hurry! I did manage to find a recipe (I needed to use up the sad bananas! ☺️
I thought I will take some time and search through your recipes list. Well, your 20 Healthy Treats has reminded me of so many recipes I had wanted to make. Thanks again. I have been a long time follower with a different ID (Begum)! ☺️
